2003 Chevy Suburban 4x4 Suspension Enhancement Recommendation

Question:

Have a used 2003 Suburban 1500 4x4 and the shocks are bad. Have a two horse bumper-pull featherlight. i need to raise the rear of the car at least four inches. What shock absorbers would be best for this without sacrificing the ride.

Expert Reply:

The suspension enhancement for your 2003 Chevy Suburban 4x4 that won't sacrifice the ride quality is the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs Kit # SSR-204-40. These offer more support the more weight that is applied to them, and then they back off and let your OEM suspension operate normally when no load is present.

Please note that these aren't a substitute for an OEM suspension so if your shocks are bad then your first resort needs to be replacing your OEM suspension. This kit is only designed to work with a suspension that's in good working order.
