Determining Which Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit Will Fit a Snowmobile Trailer With Axles Spread 36"
Question:
Hello, Im looking at upgrading my snowmbobile trailer with a Dexter E-Z Flex. Its a Sub-Zero 27 V-Nose dual axle. The axle capacity is 3,500lb each but the distance from Centre axle to centre axle is 36. Can I use the K71-652 or do I need the K71-653 because of the increased distance between axles? Thank you

Expert Reply:
Due to the various spring lengths and equalizers which could be on your trailer it is best to measure the length of your current equalizer from the front to the rear mounting holes on center. The Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 has the holes spread 5-3/4" while the Kit # K71-653-00 spaces the holes 7-3/4" on center. You will want to select the kit with the equalizer closest to your size. You do not need the distances to be exact as the included shackle straps allow for the play you need.
