Amp Draw of Bulldog Winch Compressor BDW41004
Question:
Hello, I am looking at the Bulldog Winch Portable Air Compressor - 100 psi - 1.2 cfm Maximum Air Flow - Automatic Item # BDW41004 currently on sale. The picture of the rating plate on the device says it requires 16 amps to run. Is that right? The 12V accessory outlet on my Outback is rated for 10 amps max 120W Thanks.

Correct, the max amp draw is 16 amps for the Bulldog Winch Portable Air Compressor # BDW41004. There isn't a similar portable compressor with a max 10 amps, but there is a nifty wall mounted compressor that's still more convenient than going to a gas station to fill your tires. This just plugs into a standard wall outlet and is the Tru-Flate Wall-Mounted Tire Inflator - 110 psi - 120 Volts # 16-250.
