Can Disc Brakes be Installed on Timbren Axle-Less Suspension for 5,200 Pound Axles

Question:

I was hoping I might find matching disk brakes for this suspension. Obviously Id need a hub/disk brake combination to fit the specs of the spindle, but was having trouble finding this with the setup of your website. If disk brakes prove not to be an option, can you point me towards a compatible electric drum brake setup? Thank you!

You could install disc brakes on the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension # ASR5200S01. You would use one of the kits from the link I have included to the right. All of these kits have a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern. The kits linked take the same inner bearing but the outer bearing listed for the Timbren system is different than what the description states.

The reason for this is that the spindle takes an outer bearing with a 1.25 inch inner diameter. The outer diameter would need to match the hub. The brake kits listed do have outer bearings with a 1.25 inch inner diameter and will have the proper outer diameter to work with the hubs/rotors they come with.
