How to Determine Clearance For Loading Demco Kar Kaddy SS

We have a 2005 Toyota Corolla that we would like to tow, apparently the front clearance is 5.7, will the KK SS work for this vehicle? Would placing a 2x6 in front of the ramp edge help with the clearance when loading?

While I do not believe there will be any issue loading your 2005 Toyota Corolla on the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes # DM9713045, you will need to verify that.

I have added a cut out from the instructions (linked below) which show the formula needed for clearance. A 2 x 6 in front of the ramp won't help, just be sure to follow the formula. First, you already have some work done, since you measured your clearance at 5.7 inches. Now multiply that by 4.3, and you get 24.51.

So all you have to do is measure from where your tire touches the ground to the lowest part at the front of your Corolla, and if that is less than 24.51 inches, there won't be clearance issues when using the Kar Kaddy # DM9713045.
