Troubleshooting A Non-Working Roadmaster Invisibrake Monitor Light

Question:

I have a 2013 sunseeker powered by an e450 Ford cab. I followed a e trailer video to install the invisbrake monitor light in the cab using the trailer brake connection to connect to my 2006 Jeep wrangler. The light has stopped working and I need to check the connections behind the dash but I can not locate the original installation video. Thanks.

I'd have no way of knowing what video you originally saw but I can say that the monitor light for the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 has its own wire that will run from the dash of the motorhome to the rear and will have a bullet style connector to separate and connect to the towed vehicle side of the wiring as needed. The towed vehicle wiring would also be a single wire with a bullet style connector and would run to the cold side of the brake light switch.

If the light quit working then you could have a short in the wire or loose connection and will need to trace the wire from the dash of the motorhome to the rear connector and then from the front connector on the Wrangler to the cold side of the brake light switch wire, which is a white/tan colored wire.

I've attached a video below Shane made where you can see the motorhome side of the installation starting at the 35 minute mark.
