Can a Gooseneck Horse Trailer Be Converted To Work With Andersen Ultimate 5TH Wheel Hitch System?

Question:

We recently got an Andersen hitch setup for our 5th wheel camper. I also have a gooseneck horse trailer that I haul frequently and it’s a pain to be constantly swapping between the Andersen hitch and the gooseneck bed mount. I was wondering if this is something I could install on my horse trailer so I could use the Andersen hitch with it as well?

You may be able to convert your gooseneck horse trailer if you can remove the gooseneck ball sleeve on your particular trailer. We do have inserts like the # KPG5-R30IP which is 4" in diameter. Then you would be able to get a 2nd coupler attachment from Andersen to use it with their 5th wheel connection. Do be sure to also check the height adjustments you have available as you may not have height on your horse trailer since they typically aren't designed with the tallest trucks in mind.
