Can Quick Disconnect Propane Fittings Be Used Before The Regulator
Question:
Quick connectors on propane. Can quick connectors be used directly on propane tanks which is the high pressure side of the regulator or are they used only on the low pressure side of the regulator output side? I have class A Motorhome with Extended stay for the onboard propane tank want to be able to use exoneree tank on the outside

The extend-a-stay tees just let you connect an external tank to fuel your RV's propane system so that you don't have to pack up and go get the onboard ASME tank refilled. Quick disconnect fittings are totally fine before the regulator and we actually even offer a version that has two quick disconnect fittings on it, part # 103537-MBS. With the ASME tank valve turned on the fittings can be used to fuel propane accessories, and with it off you can then connect an external tank to fuel your accessories.
There's also instances where you'd connect a propane tank directly to an appliance that has a built in regulator and use a quick disconnect hose.
