High Capacity Platform Bike Rack that Is Class I Hitch Compatible

Question:

Why is the RKY10003 a Class II only rack? With a capacity of 60 #/bike it should be well within the 200 # tongue weight limit of Class I.

Helpful Expert Reply:

Class I hitches do typically have enough capacity for bike racks but a lot of bike rack manufacturers do try and be as cautious as possible with their higher capacity racks and they just exclude them.

For a similar 2 bike rack that has a higher weight capacity and is Class I compatible we have the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 which would work great. It comes with a ramp too to help with loading and unloading heavier bikes.
