Expert Reply:
If you have a factory 7-way at the rear of your 2006 Chevy Silverado the plug-in adapter recommended for your vehicle that will make installation of the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 you referenced simple would be the Brake Controller Adapter part # 3015-P. I attached an install video that shows how easy it is to install a brake controller with this adapter.
If you do not have a factory 7-way you will also need a Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector # HM40975. This socket connects to your vehicle's OEM wiring system and mounts with included bracket. There also will be a couple connections to make under your hood. Check out the FAQ article I attached to see these connections. check out the install video I attached for this product on a 2006 Chevy Silverado like yours as well.
