Adapter For Roadmaster Flacon Tow Bar And A Blue Ox Base Plate

Question:

I have a Roadmaster Falcon towbar, RM-522, on my motorhome. I used to tow a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara that had a Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms, Item # 1018-1, paired with a Roadmaster crossbar, RM-067, that I had used on a 2013 Focus. Now I have a 2009 Grand Vitara that came with what appears to be a Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms, Item # BX3523. I do not have the attachment tab assemblies for the baseplate. What do I need to adapt the Roadmaster Falcon to the Blue Ox baseplate? Do I even need the crossbar or can I attach the Falcon arms directly to replaced attachment tabs? Thanks,

Thank you for providing detailed information with part numbers. We can definitely get you set up.

First, you will need to get the attachment tabs for your Blue Ox base Plate # BX3523. For that you can use the Replacement Attachment Tab Assembly # BLU37XR.

Now that you have your tabs, you can use the Roadmaster Tow Bar to Blue Ox Brackets Adapter # RM-031 to bring it all together. You will not be using the crossbar assembly with this setup. The adapter will allow your Roadmaster Falcon Tow bar # RM-522 to connect directly to the attachment tabs.

The picture below will show you a good example of what this setup will look like.
