Should A Curt X5 Base Rail Adapter Spin In A B&W Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
My curt x5 base rail adaptor locks down into my BandW gooseneck but, it rotates/swivels about 1/2inch or more? This doesnt seem normal,or safe to me?

It sounds like the locking pin might not fully be engaging your Curt X5 # 16310 and allowing it to turn up to the point that the squared edge of the post won't let it turn any more in the hitch. Do you possibly have a bed liner that could be holding the X5 up higher so that the bolt doesn't line up? Can you lift the X5 up out of the hitch after pushing the locking pin back in? Let me know what you find and we can keep troubleshooting further.
