Will The Dexter DX Series EOH Brake Actuator K71-650 Stay Cool With Prolonged Use?
Question:
I have seen other brake controllers not recommend using for longer periods of time due to overheating. My truck parking brake wont hold on a steep boat ramp. I can rewire to fit my needs, if this unit will stay cool?

Expert Reply:
The Dexter DX Series Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator # K71-650 is designed to naturally release heat and moisture. The inside of the housing has fins built in which will help to shed excess heat. So even with prolonged use, you should not have any problems with it overheating. I also can tell you that we have never received a single complaint about excessive heat being an issue.
