Hi, Does this part work with Yakima BackRoad 4 Bike Rack? I mistakingly left the tongue for the original Yakima BackRoad 4 Bike Rack on a car I sold. Thanks

No, the Replacement Tongue Assembly for Yakima DoubleDown Ace Bike Racks # 8890340 is not going to work with your Yakima BackRoad.

This bike rack and the majority of it's replacement parts has been discontinued, unfortunately. Your only real options are to either reach out to Yakima directly and see if they can send you a replacement, or replace the entire rack.

If you're interested in replacing the entire rack, and you're wanting to stick with Yakima, the Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack # Y02458 is a great option.

This bike rack, similar to your BackRoad, can support up to 4 bikes, has a max capacity of 40 lbs per bike, and has the tilting feature your BackRoad has.
