Recommendation to Carry a Cargo Bag Behind a 2013 Honda Fit
Question:
eTrailer: The RL100B90 was listed as being compatible with a Honda Fit. With the RL100605 clips, can a 2013 Honda Fit automatic transmission hatchbatch door support the weight of the saddlebag with a factory Honda Fit spoiler top of the hatchback door? If I install roof rails on top of the Honda Fit 2013 to avoid using the RL100605 clips, will the roof rails support the saddlebag? I noticed the saddlebag without any articles weight 100 pounds. Thank you.

I have an option for you to carry a cargo bag at the rear of your 2013 Honda fit, but due to the size and design of the spoiler on your 2013 Honda Fit I would not recommend using the Rightline Cargo Bag part # RL100B90 as it would put too much strain on your spoiler.
I think your best option would be to install a hitch on your vehicle and use a hitch mounted cargo carrier with a cargo bag.
For a hitch I would recommend the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7286. This is the most popular hitch among other owners of 2013 Honda Fits because it has the 2" hitch opening.
For a cargo carrier that we test fit on a 2013 Honda Fit that would work very well for you I would recommend the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145. I attached that review video for you to check out.
For a cargo bag to go along with that carrier the one that would best fit the dimensions of the # C18145 would be the etrailer Cargo Bag # e98990. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out as well.
Just to clarify, the # RL100B90 does not weigh 100 lbs. It weighs 10 lbs and has a 100 lb capacity.
