Are The CRE3000 Equalizers MR39ZR The Same As The CRE3000 Currently On My 5th Wheel?

Question:

I have a 2016 Keystone 422 Fuzion 5th wheel that already has the CRE3000 from the factory I recently broke the rear axle shackles on a trip to TX I had to fix in a KOA on the return trip. The shackles were the 1/4inch thick ones so ill be buying the upgraded !/2inch thick shackle kit with the wet bolts. My question is are your replacement CRE3000 upgrade kit better than the ones on my unit or are they the same? Thanks for your help!

The CRE3000 equalizers # MR39ZR that you see on our site will be the same as the CRE3000 equalizers that came on your 2016 Keystone Fuzion 422. The CRE3000 are a fairly common stock equalizer, especially on larger triple axle 5th wheels like yours. That said, If the current equalizer is stock from 2016, it may be time to replace them anyway. Generally they will be good for a few years or about 45,000 miles, but over time the rubber inserts can degrade. A new set of equalizers will likely improve your ride.

Keep in mind that the # MR39ZR is designed for trailers with a 35" wheelbase. You will want the # MR59ZR if you have a 33" wheelbase. Upgrading to the MORryde shackle/wet bolt kit is a great call. You certainly will not have to worry about breaking a shackle anymore.
