Is the Tekonsha Brake Controller Adapter 3040-P a fit for the 2014 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

Dear Experts I have found a connector to the left of my emergency brake and dissected it out of the thick wiring bundle only to find that it is not compatible with the 3040P wiring pigtail. I happened to look up the Tekonsha 3040P on the Another site and the page for the 3040P contains a warning indicating this model of wiring harness does, in fact, not fit the 2014 Tacoma. Is there another male connector that I have failed to find under the dash or is there something amiss with the compatibility of the 3040P with the 2014 Tacoma? thx! Francis Smith 360 378-6865

I checked with Tekonsha and they list the 3040-P as a fit for your 2014 Toyota Tacoma and they would be a more reliable source for fit information than another retailer site. This is a new fit so chances are they haven't carried the fit info over yet for the 2014's yet on that site.

Keep looking in that bundle, it should be there as long as you have the factory 7-way at the rear of your vehicle.
