What Is The Weight Rating And Overall Height Of The B&W Tow & Stow BWTS20049B

Question:

On the tow and stow ball hitch if Im using a 2.5 in shank. Why do some companies, websites even one of your videos say it is rated at 18,000 pounds and other times itfoot is rated at 14,500 pounds? Im trying to decide which one to get and that is confusing. Also, what is the overall height to include the ball because it is below the powder coated shaft when using the 2 or 2 5/16 in ball?

As far as the weight rating on the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS20049B, the weight rating will differ depending on what size ball you are using. The 2-5/16" ball is rated for the full 18K, the 2" ball is rated for 7.5K, and the 1-7/8" ball is rated for only 3.5K. I am not sure exactly what video you are referring to, but I can assure you that this # BWTS20049B is rated for up to 18K when using the 2-5/16" ball.

The vertical part of the shank is 11" long. With the ball in the lowest setting and in the configuration you mentioned, the lowermost ball would add about 2" to the overall height.
