The dimensions for installing the Universal Installation Kit, # RP30035 provided with the Pro Series 15K Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch with Universal Installation Kit, item # PS30128, are as follows. The rear edge of the rear base rail is located 30 inches from the rear lip of the truck bed for an 8 foot bed and 25-1/8 inches for the 6 foot bed. This will place the center line of the hitch 1-1/2 inches in front of the center of the rear axle.

It is much easier to install the custom installation kit on your vehicle and when installing the Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Custom Installation Kit with Brackets and Rails - Chevy / GMC, item # 50064-6008, the rear most edge of the front rail (closest to the cab) will be located 52-3/8 inches from the rear lip of the truck bed on an 8 foot bed, and 47-1/2 inches on the 5 foot 8 inch and 6 foot bed models. This will place the center line of the hitch 1-1/2 inches in front of the axle center line.
