Trunk Mount Bike Rack for a 2014 Ford C-Max in the UK

Question:

Do you have a rear mounted bike rack that can be used on a 2014 Ford C-Max. My preference would be a rack that can accommodate 3 bikes, but if not available, at least a 2 bike rack. I am sending this to my daughter in England. She has tried a number of Thule rear mounted universal bike racks there that the literature indicated were compatible but turned out not to be . She asked me to see if I could find one in the USA. Thank you

We have a number of trunk mount bike racks that are listed as a fit for the 2014 Ford C-Max but I cannot guarantee they will fit a European spec model. But if the body is the same there should be no problem. However, in the UK they have different requirements for trunk mount bike racks.

She would likely need to install a light bar of some kind (standard on most UK Thule trunk mount racks) to be in compliance with the laws. She would want to check the laws ahead of time before a rack is purchased.

I have included a link to the 3-bike trunk mount racks we carry that are listed as a fit for the 2014 C-Max. Both the Passage 2, # TH910XT, and the Passage 3, # TH911XT, are listed as fits.

If she will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow her to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all. I have linked a video review showing how the adapter works.
