Replacement Camera for Fogged Furrion Vision S Camera
Question:
Like many others, I have a fogged Furrion camera. I was considering ordering a replacement, but figured Id first ask Furrion/LCI if a new camera will fail just like my old one. To cut to the chase, LCI customer support informed me that the Furrion camera is not weather/water proof. They are only willing to call it weather/water resistant. The implication is that the camera can be damaged by moisture if there is enough of it. Given this, are there any camera enclosures that might protect a Furrion backup camera from the weather?

Expert Reply:
While we don't have an enclosure for the replacement Furrion Vision S camera part # FCN48TASF the best solution might be to come up with a shroud that could install over the camera to allow it to be protected by the weather. An enclosure would probably obstruct the viewing angle and reception but just a shroud that covers the top of the camera would probably do the best job.
