Recommended Sumo Springs For A 2006 Dodge Sprinter Dually Weighing 8,400 lbs

Question:

I have a 2006 Dodge sprinter 3500 which is the Dooley. I’m looking to get the sumo springs for the rear. The weight of the van is 8400 pounds and I do not tow anything. Would you advise the 47’s or the 54s? I was not planning on doing the front yet at all.

Helpful Expert Reply:

For that application we definitely recommend going with the 1,400-lb Capacity SumoSprings # SSR-338-54. The 900 lb capacity # SSR-338-47 would be right at capacity most likely, so going with the next size up will be the way to go. The more support you can get the better. For a dually van like yours these will help quite a bit to stabilize your ride and minimize sway and handling issues.

It will be an easy no-drill install. You are basically just replacing the factory bumpstop. I have linked our install video below.
