The SiriusXM Vehicle Tuner with Magnetic Mount Antenna # SXV300V1 is designed to be used with SiriusXM ready stereos. This would be a stereo that can accept the SiriusXM cable but does not already have the antenna or tuner.
If that is what you mean by XM radio, then you would need the entire SiriusXM Vehicle Tuner with Magnetic Mount Antenna # SXV300V1 (tuner and antenna).
If by already having an XM stereo, you mean it had a functioning SiriusXM already, then the antenna and tuner would already be present and you should not need any of the kit and may just need to activate the subscription.
The SiriusXM Vehicle Tuner with Magnetic Mount Antenna # SXV300V1 does still require a SiriusXM subscription.
