Bike Rack and Cargo Box Recommendation for use on a Rola Roof Rack 59833 on a 2012 Mazda 3

Hi - I just purchased a Mazda3 2012 Sport and got the Rola Roof rack #59833 for it. Im looking at getting mounts for my mountain bike. Do you know if only the Rola bike mounts will work or if other companies will fit as well? Same with a cargo box to put in snowboards and camping gear. Thanks alot!!

Obviously the Rola carriers were designed to fit the Rola crossbars so that would be my first recommendation for you. An excellent choice for a bike rack would be theThule UpRide Rooftop bike carrier part # TH599000. I attached an install video for you to check out. Rola does not have a cargo box available but you can use any of the Thule boxes, see link below.

Some other manufacturer racks can fit on the Rola elliptical rails, it really depends though, as not all will due to the width of the Rola rails at 3-1/8 inches. If you have a specific rack you are interested in I can can look into whether or not it would fit. We have seen some Thule cargo boxes fit on these rails. Check out the picture I attached that shows this. This picture came from a customer.
