Troubleshooting Truck Taillights Stopped Working when Trailer Plugs In
Question:
I have a 2007 Dodge 1500 four-wheel drive 5.7 motor my brake lights and my turn signals on my truck dont come on but when I hook up my trailer the brake lights come on and my turn signals work

Sounds like there's a lot of wiring issue present that we really can't get too specific on helping with. Best solution would be to check out the trailer wiring at the rear of the truck and see if you can find any obvious shorts like cut or exposed wire and fix as needed. That would be my guess as to where it is coming from.
