Troubleshooting A Furrion Power Inlet Installation
Question:
I have a newer model Furrion 30 amp power inlet. Unfortunately, I damaged 2 of the terminal screws due to cross threading when trying to tighten loose wires. I have looked and looked for replacements and contacted Furrion, but said parts are not available. I did use an M5 x 0.8 mm tap and was able to re-tap the pressure plate, but damage to the threads on the screws has resulted in difficulty drawing the pressure plate inward to secure the wire. I have looked on line for 5 mm x 0.8 x 12 mm flanged phillips hex head machine screws, but not sure this will work. Any suggestions short of purchasing a new power inlet. Thank you.

Unfortunately the only thing we can recommend in this situation is replacement of the power inlet. Any damage that could cause connection issues between the inlet and the wiring could lead to resistance and heat build up, which can cause an electrical fire. Part # F30ITSBS or # 431861 can be used to replace your damaged inlet.
