First be sure to check your owners manual for your 2012 Jeep to identify what fuses power the running lights. Also be sure to check the bulbs as a power surge may have damaged the running lights filament. If the fuses are allowing power to the circuit and the bulbs are good you will want to identify any changes you may have made to the Jeep which may have caused the issue. It could be some of the wiring which was spliced into for flat towing or trailer wiring which may be shorting and causing power to deter from the lights since power wants to find the shortest/easiest path to ground. A Test Light # PTW2993 will allow you to check for power along the wiring to determine if it shorts out at any point. Depending on your comfort level with working on electrical wiring you might leave this to the professionals as you could end up doing more damage than good.
Please let me know what tests you have performed and checked along with what model Jeep you have for any additional suggestions.
