Question:

Thinking of purchasing a 16 foot travel trailer with UVW 3000 lbs. and CCC of 950 lbs. Which of your weight distributing hitches would work best for this load?

Congrats on your possible purchase. Weight distribution systems are selected off of a trailer's tongue weight, which is typically between 10% and 15% of your trailer's total loaded weight. So yours would be somewhere between 400 lbs and 600 lbs if we round up to 4,000 lbs. With this in mind, I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ37060ET.

The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System item # EQ37060ET tops out at 6,000 lbs and has a tongue weight range of 200 lbs - 600 lbs. Even if you don't go over the 10% this system will not be over capacity for a 4,000 lbs trailer. The built in 4-point sway control will keep your trailer in line with your tow vehicle when you get passed by a semi or make a sudden move.

This system includes a 2" shank and a 2" hitch ball. I have linked a review video below so you can see some of this systems functions demonstrated.
