What Size Flange Nut Is Needed For Mounting Shelby 5876 Trailer Jack On Frame Mount?
Question:
I have Shelby 5876 trailer jack. I need to replace the nut that attached it to the bolt coming from the trailer, what are the specs for that? The bolt looks ok.

The only information I could find for the nut on the Shelby 5876 trailer jack is that is a 1/2" flange nut. It would not specify the thread pitch and since the manufacturer is no longer around for these there is no one to call to verify. You can attempt to count the threads per inch on the bolt as it is most likely either 13 threads per inch of length or 20 threads per inch since those are the most common sizes used.
If you are concerned about the condition of the jack you can consider replacing it with one like the Fulton # FXP15L.
