Recommended 7-Way Wiring Harness for a Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller

Can I use an etbc7 with a curt wireless controler on a car not set up for 7 way

You sure can! However, since you're going to use a Curt Echo item # C51180, I recommend using the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation item # ETBC7L instead. Same style of connector but it doesn't include the blue brake controller wire you won't need with the Curt Echo item # C51180.

The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7 will work with a Curt Echo item # C51180 but it is designed for a traditional in cab brake controller which is why it costs more and has extra wiring and steps.

Please note that both the item # ETBC7 and item # ETBC7L require a 4-way connector already be installed. If your 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe does not have a 4-way connector you will also need the Tekonsha Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector item # 119250KIT.
