What 7-Pin Trailer Connector Socket Fits a 2017 Ford Expedition With Factory Brake Controller?
Question:
I have a 2017 Ford Expedition that I’ve added a OEM trailer brake controller to. What 7 pin harness will work with the OEM brake controller so the truck can view the trailering options through the dash and control the brakes through the controller?

Expert Reply:
You will need to check behind the bumper on your 2017 Ford Expedition to see if you have the USCAR Connector # 20147. This will allow you to connect the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975. If you do not have this connector you will need to contact your Ford dealer to get the wiring needed and have your ECU programmed for the factory brake controller to function properly.
