Determining The Correct Replacement RV Steps For A 2010 Keystone Cougar 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2010 Cougar 5th wheel, 3 slides, rear living, listed as a 34 Ft 5th wheel. Looking for a good set of replacement steps that dont take major re-invention of the wheel to make fit. Looking at ones that have adjustable feet, so there isnt sag when the steps are used.

To determine the correct replacement steps for your 2010 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel we'll need to determine the style you want (pull-out or fold-down) and then take some measurements first. You'll want to first level the trailer to get an accurate measurement.

For pull-out steps you need to measure the width of the mounting brackets and then measurement from the ground up to the mounting brackets (entry height). TorkLift offers pull-out steps with adjustable feet for more stability. For example, the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution # TLA8003 has a 25-1/2" - 36" entry height and requires a 27-1/2" wide x 13-7/8" deep mounting bracket spacing.

For fold-down steps you'll measure the space between the door flanges for the width and from the ground up to the top of the threshold for the entry height. The Lippert SolidStep # LC791573 you were looking at has a 29" - 36" doorway width range and 27" - 36" entry height range.

Once we know your measurements I'd be happy to find a compatible fit for you.
