Recommended WDS Upgrade for an Older Husky Centerline Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have a Husky Centerline TS weight distribution hitch that I used to pull a heavy trailer using 3000 lb spring sliding bar. I now have a smaller trailer that I need a 1000 lb spring bar. I understand the the lighter bar has a smaller diameter and will be too loose in the socket it fits into. Is there anyway I can make the smaller bar fit and work without having to buy a whole new setup?

Unfortunately no, there is no way for you to get the smaller diameter bars to work with the larger diameter hitch head for your Husky Centerline TS WDS.
With this system being discontinued, you'd instead need to replace the entire system with a WDS that is better suited for your trailer.
The Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control # RE44FR is a great choice and sounds like it'd work much better for you.
This WDS will work with trailer's that have a 600 to 1,150 lb tongue weight range, a gross towing weight of 11,500 lbs, and will work with any 2" trailer hitch receiver.
