Wiring Needed To Separate Turn Signals and Brake Lights On Trailer Wiring For Additional Lighting

Question:

Hi, I recently re-wired my equipment trailer. I added 2 sets of turn signals on the sides of the trailer. My question is when i apply the brakes it lights up the turn signals i added. Is there some sort of resistor or anything like that so i can separate them so they only light up when i use the turn signal and not when i apply brakes or should i just remove them. The rear brake lights/turn signals work fine.

You will need a 2 to 3 Wire Tail Light Converter # C56196 to separate the turn signals from the brake lights on your trailer. This unit is designed to work on trailers using incandescent lights. If you have LED tail lights you will need to add Resistors # P230004C to the wiring for it to function correctly.
