Can Heat Strips Be Added to a Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System to Replace a Furnace

Question:

As I dig into the mess that is my older RV, I was wondering if the furnace could be replaced with heaters in the A/C unit. I know the FR24Fj is a/c only. Is there an option for electric heat? The cost to replace the furnace is almost as much as an A/C, and Im not fond of gas.

Yes, you could use heat strips with your A/C as an alternate heating method to a furnace. To be honest, you probably will not get the same heat output as the furnace, but it is something that can be done and is not uncommon.

You can add the Furrion Heat Strip Add-On for Furrion Air Conditioner # FR27PR to each of the A/C's in the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR24FJ.
