Yes, the Thule Passage 2 Trunk Bike Rack, # TH910XT is compatible with your 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback. I have attached a demonstration video that may be of help to you.
I want to mention that we also offer the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier, # TH911XT. This carrier would provide extra room for some of the wider style bikes or give you with the ability to carry an additional bike if needed.
If you will be carrying any womens, childrens or alternative frame bikes, I recommend picking up the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT. Bikes with small or angled frames can be difficult to load on hanging style bike racks and they can cause ground clearance issues. This adapter will allow you to load the bikes easily and safely. I have also attached a demonstration video of this adapter bar for you.
