I am not sure exactly which model of Kauffman gooseneck trailer you have, but the easiest way to adapt to a 5th wheel hitch will be to use a coupler adapter. This will replace the gooseneck coupler inner tube with a traditional fifth wheel kingpin. We have the # KPG5-R30IP for a 4" round tube, or the # KPG5-Q30IP for a 4" Square tube. Both of these are rated for 30K so more than enough capacity wise for your trailer. You can use the Load bearing pins # GCPN-PIN to make your connection. You will just want to verify the inner tube shape and size prior to ordering.
