Solution for Clearing Trailer Jack When Using Thule GateMate Pro on 2021 Ford F-150

Question:

Im interested in the Thule gatemate pro full size for my 2021 Ford F150, but Im wondering if the tires on the outside of the tailgate would clear the power tongue jack on my travel trailer. It looks like it could be close, especially when considering turning radius, but I also only need to haul 4 bikes, so maybe I could use the outside positions to leave the middle open for the jack?

What you said at the end is exactly what I would do with the Thule GateMate Pro Tailgate Pad for Full-Size Trucks # TH824PRO. You don't have to load the bikes in a certain position so putting them on the outside would likely solve the problem.

Unfortunately, due to the variations in bikes there is no way to have an idea on the clearance without actually trying it. I recommend loading the bikes and taking some slow turns in a parking lot to test for clearance. You want to be sure it works before you head out on your next trip. You might have to try a few configurations to get it just right depending on the bikes you have.
