Can the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack Be Used with the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender
Question:
Is there any reason that this rack cannot be used with a swingaway adapter, and specifically the Kuat Pivot v2? I have a heavy ebike - Turbo Vado that weighs around 60 lbs.

The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202 cannot be used with the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender # PVP20B because of the 1-1/4" to 2" adapter. Bike rack manufacturers agree that using 2 adapters like this weakens the whole setup and could cause something to fail.
Instead what I recommend doing is using the Pivot 2 # PVP20B with the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack # HLY66ZR as it has a weight capacity of 70 lbs and some with a ramp for easier loading/unloading of your bikes, and it has the same basic securing method as the EasyFold XT.
