I am assuming you do not have the underbed rail kit in your 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab since you are looking for advice on where to mount the fifth wheel rails. If your truck is either a short or long bed you will want the Curt Fifth Wheel Installation Kit part # C16426-204.
In either bed length the king pin will be centered above the rear axle. The distance between the edge of the bed to the rear rail will need to be 28-1/8 inches if you have an 8 foot bed and 26-1/2 inches if you have a 6 foot bed. I attached installation instructions for this rail kit for you to check out.
The # C16430-204 is the only option we carry now for a rail kit for your vehicle, the rails are industry standard rails that will be compatible with your Pro Series 15k hitch like part # PS30128.
You should note that the bracket kit you used in your older truck will not work in your newer truck. The only option you have would be to get the # C16426-204.
