7-Way Wiring Options For Semi Tractor
Question:
My brother in-law just bought a 2007 International DT466 semi tractor. It needs to be wired to be able to pull regular gooseneck trailers as well as semi trailers ball is already installed. I am struggling to locate a harness for one. Attached is the connection at the back that runs all the rear lights.

I do have a potential option for you, but we do not have any kind of custom fit wiring harness that will connect to the plug in your picture. Since there isn't an adapter to go from a semi 7-Way to an RV 7-Way the best solution is going to be to install a separate RV style 7-Way on your 2007 International Semi tractor. This way you will be wired to tow semi trailers and gooseneck.
You can use installation kit # ETBC7. You may be able to tap into the circuits on the existing 7-Way as long as the turn signals and brake lights are combined on the same circuit. If not then you will have to first install a 4-Way using # C59236. The # ETBC7 kit includes everything you will need to wire the 7 way, and install an in cab brake controller. For that I recommend the Tekonsha prodigy P3 # 90195.
