Is There A Leveling System Capable Of Working On a 36' 5TH Wheel With 6" Tall Frame?
Question:
I have a 36foot 5th wheel that needs the front landing gear replaced. It is a 2006 so there are only scissor jacks for stabilization. I was wanting to upgrade to the lippert 6 point leveling system but, I only have a 6inch frame. Could I weld on a steel plate to make my frame bigger so I can have a system that is stabilization as well as leveling or is there another solution? I saw another post you guys have about the ultra fab stabilizer 2 system and was thinking if I got their independent front landing gear and two sets of the stabilizers, that might work. My main question is this, would the stabilizers, if I operated both stabilizers and landing jack at the same time, be able to lift the side of my trailer to effectively level it or would they not be able to lift the rv?

With 2 of the Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizers # UF39-941705 and Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010 you will be able to stabilize your camper but not level it. Unfortunately with you 5th wheel having the 6" frame there is not a leveling system compatible with your frame. It sounds like Lippert has concern with the strength of the frame and it being able to be supported on the jacks safely without risking damage to the frame. So adding steel where the mounting brackets for the Lippert Ground Control # LC675817 mounts will not increase the strength of the entire frame.
