On trailer tires you will always need to have them inflated to the maximum psi as indicated on the tire sidewall. For ST205/75-15 tire # AM32395, it is rated for 1,820 pounds at 50 psi. Different sizes and load ranges of the same size will have different psi ratings so always check the tire sidewall and inflate to the max psi listed when the tire is cold (prior to your trip).

Trailer tires are built with a thicker sidewall to handle more vertical load compared to passenger vehicle tires. When a trailer tire is under inflated the thicker sidewall is more compressed and it generates excessive heat which will cause tire failure. I have included a link to our help article on trailer tires for you.
