Does Thule Motion XT Cargo Box Fit 2013 Ford Edge

Question:

Hi there, Im interested in a Thule Motion XT for my 2013 Ford Edge. That being said, it looks like the farthest forward my crossbars Thule Wingbar Evos can go for front hatch clearance is 46inch which is less than all of the listed sizes. Am I mistaken or does this box simply not fit my year of Ford Edge? I feel like I have seen multiple videos with the Edge and a Motion Xt so am disappointed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Your 2013 Ford Edge is 100 percent compatible with the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629706.

The Motion XT # TH629706 will fit your crossbars, and the minimum 47-1/2 inch clearance from crossbar to reach hatch is what is needed for the hatch to FULLY open with the cargo box on. So if you have 46 inches you won't be able to fully open the hatch on your Edge, but the box will absolutely fit your car.

If opening your rear hatch was something you had to have you could still do so with the smaller Thule Pulse Cargo Box # TH614, which only requires 42-5/8 inches of clearance.
