Aftermarket Brake Controller to Replace a Factory Brake Controller in a 2005 Ford F-250
Question:
Do you sell a TBC that will plug into my existing harness for my factory installed TBC and not give me codes? My current controller is not giving any fault codes, it’s just poor gain with my camper. I have it ran up on 10, have tried another pickup with the camper and no issues. Vehicle is 2005 F-250 With 6.0.

We do have trailer brake controllers that will plug into the factory port on your 2005 Ford F-250. But as far as the codes are concerned, you will need to take your truck to the dealership to have it flashed to removed those codes. This is pretty common when it comes to vehicles with factory brake controllers switching to after market controllers.
The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 is a great option for you and will install in the factory port using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3065-P. The P2 is a proportional brake controller that has an easy to read LED display and built-in safeguards to protect your truck, trailer, and the controller. You will be happy with how this controller performs over the factory controller.
