Do the plastic mounting parts push into the drilled holes or does the inide of the door need to be accessed?

The plastic mounting parts will insert into the door for the CIPA Universal Low-Mount Style Door Mount Mirror # CM45500, so you won't need to gain access to the inside of the door for the installation.
