What Should The Low Temperature Setting Be On A TST TPMS System

Question:

My TPMSTST-507-RV-4-C requires warning ranges, specifically temperature. I noticed a recommendation to leave the high temperature setting at 158 degree F, but no mention of the low temperature setting. Please advise. I am towing a 2017 Airstream 27FB Flying cloud with Goodyear Endurance Trailer tires ST225/75R15 E rated with a max cold pressure setting of 80psi. I typically keep 72psi in the tires since the trailer manufacturer requires only 65psi in each of the four tires.

There really doesn't need to be a low temperature warning as long as you still have a low psi warning so you can just set that function of the # TST-507-RV-4-C super low so it won't go off. You're correct that the high temperature warning should be set to 158 degrees so that you have enough time to get off the road before the tires blow.

As for the psi you'll want to follow the max tire pressure rating on the sidewall of the tire and ignore the trailer manufacturer. Trailer tires are all designed to be fully pressurized to their max cold psi and going lower than this will give you an unknown weight capacity and could lead you overloading and blowing the tires.
