Your 2006 Chevy Silverado uses a 3157 reverse light bulb. The Hopkins backup alert fits a 3157. It would fit into the same slot but would not function correctly. But not to worry because there is another option. You can use backup alarm # BK97DB. It wires into a reverse light wire and will be louder at 97 decibels compared to the Hopkins alert.
