Recommendation to Upgrade 5.30-12 Tires on Trailer
Question:
I am looking to upgrade my current trailer tires. I have a 4x6 trailer with 2 5.30-12 Load Range C tires. I cant fit a 13 tire in the fender area. Is there a more heavy duty 12 tire available?

Sticking with the 5.30-12 tires size you could move to a load range D with the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire # AM10068. This would give you a maximum load of 1,250 lbs at 105 psi. However, the best upgrade you could make would be moving to a radial tire with the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 # AM10140.
This tire will still fit your 12" x 4" rims and has a 21.3" outer diameter and 5.7" section width. This will likely give you a little extra clearance on the top while losing about 0.1" on the inside which won't be a concern. It is a load range E tire with a maximum load of 1,520 lbs at 80 psi. It also has a maximum speed rating of M for 81 mph. Since this is a radial tire, it will last longer and have better performance on the road.
