Replacement Options For A WFCO WF-8735P Power Center
Question:
I need to replace my OEM WF-8735P. I have a 08? Chalet, two Crown 6V 220-cr. 5 years with100 watt solar panel controller also. Now, with WFCO, no charge with anything, no 12v, no AC, got pump only to work with one fuse, others blow. And want lithium option too. PD 4045ka or 4000 series 35 amp?

You can keep the same amperage and go with the Progressive Dynamics 4100 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel - 35 Amp # PD4135K or if you're wanting to expand your available circuit breaker/fuse space then you can go with the # PD4045KA instead. You'll most likely need to check the gauge of wire used to connect to your battery to ensure it's up to the specifications of whichever unit you choose. You'll also most likely need to make alterations to the cutout hole to accommodate the new unit.
The # PD4135K requires a 10-1/4" long x 7" tall cutout hole and the # PD4045KA requires a 10-3/4" long x 7-1/4" tall cutout hole. Since the the WF-8735P requires a 10.44" wide x 6.13" tall x 3.75" deep cutout hole you'll have to trim the whole a bit taller regardless to swap it out.
Both of these unit come with an output mode switch so that you can set the converter to charge either lead acid or lithium batteries without having to purchase any kind of adapter. Both chargers are able to sense the charge level of the battery and work together with your solar panel system to keep the battery charged.
